For all the people that attack me, one thing will never, ever change.  I know that I am a good person, a likable person, and an honorable person.  You can say whatever you wish about my choices, my preferences, my decisions, whatever, but no one will ever convince me that I am an evil or bad person.  People just don't understand that I live by a code......and that code is that persistence and determination are omnipotent.  Please, please, please understand that about me.  The bigger the obstacle in my way, the harder I try to overcome it.  I have always been an achiever, and I will continue to do so.

I woke up early this morning because the Time Warner guy was on his way over to replace my old modem with newer model.  Then Simon, the computer wizard, came over again to finish setting up my new computer.  It is mind-bogglingly cool!  I wish I had more time this morning to fiddle with it, but alas, work calls.  :)

After my scene, Jeff Coldwater called me and asked me if I wanted to do a scene for him at 3:30pm.  Of course bro, no problem!  So I headed over to the nearest 7-11 I could find, because they regularly carry Muscle Milk, which helps replenish my sperm count (so I hope).  I also grabbed an egg salad sandwich and a banana, which I know is a little shady coming from a 7-11, but what the hell, I like to live on the wild side.

Again, I am in this business to expand my horizons and sexual boundaries (and make great money doing it!).  I have done things on camera that I wouldn't ever dream of doing in real life.  I have done so many different sizes, shapes, and types of girls, I could fill a book.  I am having a great time being me, and I plan on being me for a long, long time (okay, that sentence sounded like a retard).  More on that later.

Finally, our old friend Lauren Vaughn sent me an email asking me to take down my link to her blog on my site.  lol.  I had forgotten about her, until last night, when I read her blog just to see what she had written about.  Again, she is a fantastic writer, I really like her style.  Then I got to her "rebuttal" about me.  I hadn't checked the comments until then!  She actually linked Donny Long's new myspace account Crossover Alert as a legimitate site!  I got a nice little chuckle out of that (hopefully, one day she will work with Donny Long, and that will make me very happy).  I also saw my fellow male performer Justin Long commented on the situation, so I took the opportunity to give him a call and introduce myself and have  a conversation.  Justin is a really bright, cool guy, we talked for at least 30 minutes, and I think we got a much better understanding about one another.  What I think Lauren is still missing from this entire thing is the fact that she knows from reading my blog (which she says she has) that I work every day and have been for over 2 years now.  So she must be inferring that either I have an unbelievable death wish, or that I just don't give a shit about my fellow performers that I work with every day.  Does anyone, even my detractors, actually think I WANT to be patient zero?  That I can't wait for the day that I am Darren James or Marc Wallice?  That's what I don't understand........in what world would I be so callous, cold, and I can't even think of a worse adjective, that I would flippantly put all of my fellow performers at risk?  What sane and rational person would do that?  That is why this situation continuously pisses me off.  That a really intelligent girl like Lauren can't see that, and then she also allows her homophobic boyfriend to dictate her actions as well.  So needless to say, I declined to remove my link to Lauren's blog, it's well written and I like it so it's staying.  So there.  :)

So about a week ago, I decided to use the LA Marathon (26.2 miles) as a training run for the Ironman Triathlon next month.  I signed up to run the complete marathon, but after consulting the two triathletes who are doing Ironman with me, I decided to run half of the race, and then see how I felt after that.  I woke up at 6:30am and Shanna drove me down to the race.

The race started on Lankershim and Cahuenga in Universal City.  There were close to 30,000 people running some form of the race this morning.  I took a picture of where I started trying to move to the Start Line, and where I ended up waiting for the race to begin.  I was wearing my Naughty America shirt to show proper loyalty (check it Laura!). 

The weather was a bit warm, no wind and no clouds....an ominous sign, especially if you are bald like myself.  The race started at 8:23am and it took me over 3 minutes just to get to the starting line.  I felt really good and ran at a 80-90 percent clip for the first 10 miles and then slowed it down a bit until I reached the halfway mark of the marathon (13.1 miles).  I clocked in at 2hour7minutes30seconds, which is about 9min50sec per mile pace.  Perfect.  I still felt good and my body felt great with the exception of some minor shoulder pain.  I walked the next 5 miles as a cooldown and then Phoenix Marie and Shanna came and picked me up.  Great day today.  I could have run the entire thing, but I don't want to hurt myself a month before the Ironman.  By the way, I forgot sunscreen, and so from my shoulders to the top of my head is bright pink.  Not good times.

One of the funny things about a marathon is the outfits some people dress up in.  You have Spiderman, Batman, Thor, Zorro, a luche libre, a dude dressed as Marilyn Monroe, a dude running while carrying a chihuahua, a dude running with a tray, wine, and a wine glass, and an Elvis Presley running with a cart playing Elvis music.  Fun times, and it takes your mind off the distance for a minute or two.

After the race, I was starving, and so we stopped into a little Mexican food place near my condo.  I devoured enough chips and salsa to feed a small country in South America.  Shanna and Phoenix then dropped me off at my place and they went to Magic Mountain while I passed out asleep.

When I awoke, they were giggling like schoolgirls about the pink fuzzy dice they got me for my car.  Great, that's all I need, Donny Long might make a myspace page about banning gay pink fuzzy dice from the industry now.  :)  I showered, changed clothes and then Phoenix and I dropped Shanna off at the airport.  Our next stop was Ahi Sushi with Demi Delia, Carly Parker, and Derek of course.  We had an interesting meal, decent chicken teriyaki, but not the best I have had.  I dropped Phoenix off at her vehicle, drove home, and called it a night.

This was the first year that Showtime broadcasted our award show, so there were tons of glitches, mistakes, and fuckups.  It seemed that whatever company was in charge of organizing the show didn't get that memo until about 2 hours before it started.  Very amateur.  First of all, the Nakita Cash and her 2 pole dancers were unchoreographed, went on 5 minutes too long, and were quite boring after 6 seconds.  Great start so far, you know what I mean.

Greg Fitzsimmons opening monologue was hilarious....i was thinking that it must be really nice as a comedian to be able to say whatever the fuck he wanted to in front of our audience.....because trust me we have heard worse.

Again the Fashionista's mini show was fucking insanely good.  There was a girl in there with pink hair and the best body ever, who did things on the pink fabric that was unreal.  And let's not forget the girl with short red hair with the most amazing physique ever.  Derick Pierce almost ran on stage to grab her.  I don't know if it makes money in Vegas, but it should.

Now on to the awards.  Let me explain something to all of you people who aren't in the business.  The AVN awards have long been criticized for showing favoritism to the companies that advertise heavily in the magazine when it comes to winning all of the awards.  So Vivid, Wicked, Evil Angel, and to a certain extent Digital Playgound have gobbled up the lion's share of awards in years past.  Everyone in the business knows that these awards are 80 percent popularity contest and 20 percent who actually is the best in that field.  But in the past year, the old guard video companies have been getting DESTROYED revenue wise by the new Internet companies such as Naughty America, Brazzers, Bang Bros/Reality Kings, IC Porn, and Pistol Whipped/Sudden Impact.  So the theme of this year's show was to downplay this fact and try to urge and cajole people watching or listening to the show to buy DVD's.  Nice try, but no one is gonna go backwards in time, the Internet is our future.......embrace it!  Also, these awards mean very little to someone like me in terms of work/money.  Would I like to win a bunch of awards?  Sure!  But for example, Barrett Blade won 2 awards this year and he works maybe 10 times a month, whereas I work 25.  Trust me when I say that I am not trading 7000 dollars a month for a trophy or two on my mantle.

The awards went pretty much as they do every year, nothing much going on there.  Manuel Ferrara won another 5 awards, Jenna Haze won a couple again, Sasha Grey cried, and a girl who makes me laugh, Bree Olson, won twice.  I would love to go off on Bree, but honestly her boyfriend, Chris Fox, is too nice a guy.  He runs Foxxx Modeling, and even though he has no reason to, has always had my back when ignorant girls pull their stunt about working with me.  A long time ago, I worked with Bree Olson for Adam and Eve in the feature where they tested her out to see if they wanted to give her a contract, which they ended up doing immediately afterward.  It was a great scene, she is a very pretty girl who is totally aware of what she needs to do to become a major porn star (and by that I mean totally turn on the ridiculous overacting when the camera starts rolling).  Then of course Bree decided to put me on her no list because she found out my gross and disgusting past.  lol.  So i sent her an email saying how sad I was about that, because I thought she was more intelligent than that and that it was pretty pointless since we had already worked together.  I didnt see or hear from her for at least 6 months until my good friend David Crawford got a gig directing Bree's movie in November.  He offered me a scene in it, and I accepted....but then Bree told him that she didn't even want me on set when she was there because it would be uncomfortable for her!  And there goes 600 dollars....thanks Bree, I really appreciate it.

Lets talk about Jenna Jameson for a minute.  They called her up to present an award, and she decided that it was her talk therapy time and we the audience were all her shrinks I guess.  She rambled on about the tabloids, paparazzi, drugs, her boyfriend, blah, blah, blah...and then stated that she would never open her legs again in this business.  Everyone seems to be hinging on that statement, but lets be serious...she hasnt opened her legs in 3 years except for a couple girl/girl scenes.  Add to that, the fact that she has tons of scenes already shot.......so in reality who cares.  But my personal favorite part of her little soliloquy was when she said that Club Jenna was a major force in the business!  Oh really, then explain why Club Jenna didn't have a booth at the show.  Or why they fired every contract girl they had (which they needed to...Sophia Rossi?  please.  Chanel St. James?  come on.  what the fuck did either of those two do?  Sophia was fat, old, and did exactly 1 boy/girl movie in 2 years.  Chanel St. James?  i dont think she even did a boy/girl scene in over a year and she is something like 38)  Or why they shot about 5 movies total all year.  Major force?  I mean, who really believes that?  We should all ask Lela Star, who made a seriously bad decision to sign a contract with Club Jenna, if SHE thinks Club Jenna is a major force right now.  Good times.

Which brings me to Stormy.  First of all, I wasn't a big fan of Stormy for a long time.  She has all of the charm of a junkyard dog when it comes to being friendly with people she dont know or care about.  But as time wore, she grew on me.  Obviously, being smoking hot with a huge fake rack doesn't hurt, but still, I like the fact that she refuses to be disingenuous in her dealings with other people in the industry.  Simply put, she doesn't kiss ass, and she does what she pleases (she calls herself the princess by the way).  I can get behind a girl like that.  We have never and probably will never work together (I fucking hate condom scenes....what year is this?  2000?), but I still respect the hell out of that girl.

Eva Angelina won her first AVN award ever for Best Actress in a Movie, which was long long overdue.  Its been a huge roller coaster for Eva since she got into this business.  She lost her boyfriend to suicide, she got terrorized by a second one (who is currently on trial for it), she squandered all her money dealing with that moron, but since January of 2007 has really turned the corner.  She got a nice apartment, started taking ownership of her career and being professional, and began righting her ship.  Honestly, she works more than any girl in the business these days.  Every company wants her because she is gorgeous, she fits into a lot of roles (fake tits, young, latina, asian, student, anal, glasses/nerdy, etc), and she does great scenes.  She is one of the only girls who knows where the camera is and tailors her movements to help the director.  And now, she met a great English guy, who swept her off her feet, moved to America to be with her, and then married her.  Nice work Danny Boy.....you lucky SOB.  I sent Eva a congratulatory text message saying how proud I was of her and how she deserved that award.

Oh, I won my second AVN award this year......kind of.  I won in Best Group Sex Scene, just like I did last year.  This year the scene was myself, Evan Stone, Jay Huntington, Savanna Samson, Monique Alexander, and Stefanie Morgan.  Last year was like 17 people and was for a scene in Evil Angel-Fashionistas.  So I was in the scene, but it wasn't anything where I was the main contributor.  But hey, a win is a win is a win.  I will take it everytime.  But what really sucked was that my best friend Derick Pierce lost in all 5 of the categories in which he was nominated.  And to add insult to injury, his girlfriend Lexi Tyler, who did a total of maybe 5 scenes all year, won the award for Best Girl/Girl scene.  Ouch!

The award show ran for over 3 hours this year, which was a little long.  After it ended, we worked our way through the crowd, made our way to our limo, and headed back to Venetian.  I then walked over to the Wynn, met with my casino host Kevin Craddock for a drink, played poker for a few hours (came out even) and went to bed.  Long long day.  I have 2 shoots tomorrow with some amateur girls for a local company here in Vegas.  Will blog more later my friends.
